弓原 望Nozomu Yumihara
小説家、ライトノベル作家。1996年に『マリオ・ボーイの逆説(パラドクス)』が集英社ロマン大賞にて佳作を受賞し、作家デビュー。その後、集英社コバルト文庫/スーパーファンタジー文庫/ダッシュ文庫、エンターブレイン社ファミ通文庫などにて作品を発表。また『メタルウルフ』シリーズのコンシューマゲーム化に際しては脚本およびディレクションを担当。
代表作は『アーサー王子乱行記』シリーズ、『機甲学園カミカゼ』シリーズ、『メタルウルフ』シリーズなど。『メタルウルフ』シリーズはのちに『メタルウルフREV』としてゲーム化（ジャンルはADV）され、ドリームキャストおよびプレイステーション2で発売された。
SF設定をベースにしたコメディ調の作品が多い。
作中、しばしば男性キャラクターの女装やいわゆる女体化などの描写が登場することでも知られる（ごく一部で）。2006年にゲーム『メタルウルフREV』PS2版発売以来、公の場での弓原名義の作品の発表は途絶えている。現在はビデオゲーム業界にてプロデュース等を行っている。
Nozomu Yumihara is a novelist and light-novel writer. He made his debut with the 1996 novel Mario bōi no paradokusu (Marionette Boy’s Paradox), which received an honorable mention for the Shueisha’s Romance Award. His books have then mostly been published in Shūheisha’s Cobal, Super Fantasy, and Dash collections, as well as Enterbrain’s Famitsū collection. His representative works also include the Āsā-ōji rangyōki (Price Arthur’s Mayhem) series, the Kikō gakuen kamikaze (Armored School Kamikaze) series, and the Metaru urufu (Metal Wolf). Yumihara also directed and wrote the script for the video game adaptation of his Metaru urufu (Metal Wolf) which was released as Metaru urufu REV (Metal Wolf REV) for Dreamcast and PlayStation 2. The majority of Yumihara’s works are set in SF worlds and convey a humorous style. His books quite often involve male characters cross-dressing or involved in gender-bender events (although only a few readers realize it). Since the PlayStation 2 release of Metal Wolf REV in 2006, Yumihara has not published any work. He is working as a videogame producer.
