東京都出身。漫画家。
デザイナーとして活動後、1998年「Paikuuパイク」にて『われはロボット』で漫画家デビュー。1999年『オヤスミナサイ』でアフタヌーン四季大賞を受賞。2014年、星雲賞アート部門にノミネート。2016年、星雲賞コミック部門に『はごろも姫』がノミネート。
代表作に『めもり星人』『時計じかけのシズク』『はごろも姫』等。装画に梶尾真治『妖怪スタジアム』、ピーター・ワッツ『神は全てをお見通しである』等。


Hotaru Unno is a manga artist who was born in Tokyo. After having worked as a designer, he made his debut as a manga artist in 1998 with Ware wa robotto (I, Robot), published in Paiku (Paikuu). In 1999, he won the Kodansha Afternoon Four Seasons Grand Prize with Oyasuminasai (Good Night).” He was selected in 2014 for the Seiun Award in the art category, and in the comic category in 2016, with Hagoromo Hime (The Swan Maiden). His representative works also include Memori Seijin (The People from the Graduated Planet), Tokei jikake no shizuku (A Clockwork Tear). His book illustrations include Yōkai sutajiamu (Yokai Stadium) by Shinji Kajio and “The Eyes of God” by Peter Watts.
