巽　孝之（たつみ　たかゆき） Takayuki Tatsumi

1955年東京生まれ。 SF批評家、アメリカ文学者。 1982年より慶應義塾大学に勤務し、 2021年同文学部名誉教授。 1987年、コーネル大学大学院博士課程修了（Ph.D.,1987)。アメリカ留学中の 1985年にサイバーパンク運動と出会い、批評誌＜SF Eye＞創刊号より編集委員として参加。多くの作家たちとの対話を含む『サイバーパンク・アメリカ』（勁草書房、 1988年）で単著デビューし、日米友好基金アメリカ研究図書賞受賞。以後、『現代 SFのレトリック』（岩波書店、 1992年）、『ジャパノイド宣言』（早川書房、 1993年）を刊行。編著『日本SF論争史』（勁草書房、 2000年）で第21回日本SF大賞、共編著『世界の SFがやって来た！ニッポンコン・ファイル 2007』（小松左京監修、角川春樹事務所、 2008年）で第 40回星雲賞ノンフィクション部門賞。英文単著 Full Metal Apache（Duke UP, 2006）で 2010年度の国際幻想芸術学会（IAFA）学術賞を受賞。公式ウェブサイト：http://www.tatsumizemi.com/

Takayuki Tatsumi was born in 1955 in Tokyo. He is a literary critic and professor of American literature and Critical Theory at Keio University (Tokyo, Japan). He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University in 1987. He authored Saibāpanku amerika (Cyberpunk America) (Tokyo: Keiso, 1988), which received the 1988 Japan-US Friendship Commission’s American Studies Book Prize, and Full Metal Apache: Transactions between Cyberpunk Japan and Avant-Pop America (Durham: Duke UP, 2006), which received the 2010 IAFA Distinguished Scholarship Award. He also co-edited the Japanese Science Fiction issue of Science-Fiction Studies (29.3, Nov. 2002) and Robot Ghosts, Wired Dreams: Japanese Science Fiction from Origins to Anime (Minneapolis: U. of Minnesota P, 2007). He won the 5th Pioneer Award (SFRA) in 1994 for his collaboration essay with Larry McCaffery “Towards the Theoretical Frontiers of ‘Fiction’: From Metafiction and Cyberpunk through Avant-Pop”(1993),” and the 21st Japan SF Grand Prize (SFWJ) in 2001 with his edited anthology Nihon SF Ronsōshi (Japanese SF Controversies:1957-1997) (Tokyo: Keiso, 2000). He also published numerous essays in SF Eye, Extrapolation, Para*Doxa, American Book Review, Mechademia, PMLA and elsewhere.
